Australia’s biggest Italian Australian charity gala marked yet another incredible success
The Italian National Ball 2026 was held on Saturday 30 May 2026 at the Sydney Event Centre, The Star Sydney, celebrated under the auspices of the Italian Consulate in Sydney and the Embassy of Italy in Canberra. The evening commemorated Festa della Repubblica Italiana, Italy’s National Day, while honouring Co.As.It.’s longstanding service to the Italian Australian community. The 2026 event marked a particularly significant milestone, celebrating the 80th Anniversary of the Italian Republic.
More than 600 guests attended the sold-out event, including representatives from Australian and Italian political, business, media and community organisations. Distinguished guests included NSW Premier Chris Minns, members of parliament, diplomatic representatives, business leaders and community stakeholders, reflecting the enduring significance of the Italian National Ball within Australia’s cultural and philanthropic landscape.
Hosted at the Sydney Event Centre at The Star Sydney, guests enjoyed an evening of elegance, connection and celebration. Exceptional hospitality by Doltone House, entertainment and fine dining combined to create a memorable experience while supporting an important community cause.
In 2026, funds raised through the Italian National Ball will support adults living with disability who are often underrepresented and underserved within the community. The initiative will assist Co.As.It. in establishing a culturally and linguistically appropriate group-based program focused on social connection, recreation and wellbeing for adults who live with disability. Through meaningful activities and transport support, the program aims to reduce loneliness and psychological distress while promoting dignity, independence, inclusion and respite for participants and their families.
The success of the Italian National Ball 2026 was only made possible through the generosity of sponsors, donors, partners and guests. Their support will help ensure that vulnerable members of the community remain connected, supported and empowered through programs that foster wellbeing, belonging and social inclusion.
Co.As.It. extends its sincere gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of this year’s event and helped make a lasting difference in the lives of others.
