Milan, Lombardy’s capital is a dynamic city immersed in the present and reaching towards the future, is known for its Industry, Finance, Fashion, Arts, Gastronomy, and extraordinary landscapes.
This tour aims to strengthen and celebrate the cultural, linguistic, and professional ties between Australia and Lombardy, promoting the traditions, history, and excellence of the Italian region.
This experience will allow participants to combine cultural immersion with the acquisition of professional skills, offering a unique opportunity for personal and professional growth.
The project addresses two thematic areas of the call for proposals: cultural and territorial promotion and training, work, and mobility.
Program Highlights:
Cultural Tours & Immersion: Explore the stunning landscapes of Lombardia, visit historic towns, enjoy traditional food, and wine, and experience the charm of local festivals. You’ll discover Lombard culture through guided tours, workshops, and travel on vintage trains.
Language & Cultural Workshops: 36 hours of preparatory Italian language class in Sydney then get ready to dive into the Milanese dialect and learn about Lombard traditions in an interactive workshop whilst on your tour, making your experience even more immersive.
Guided Tours: Discover Milan, Brescia, Salò (Garda Lake), Monte Isola (Iseo Lake), Lecco and Como through exclusive tours.
Two-week structured Internship
What’s Included:
Preparatory Courses in Sydney: 18 weeks of Italian classes included, to prepare for your upcoming journey.
Location: Leichhardt or the CBD, Sydney
Duration: 36 hours of Italian classes over 18 weeks
Focus: Italian language, Lombard culture, and an introduction to Made in Italy
Flights, Accommodation, Breakfast and Taxes: We’ve got you covered with flights to Milano, transportation throughout Lombardia, comfortable accommodation, and all tours.
Cultural Tours of Lombardia:
Duration: 2 weeks
Experience: Explore the region’s iconic historical sites, picturesque villages, local festivals, wine tastings, and scenic train rides.
2-week structured Internship: Intern at Lombard company and gain professional sector-specific skills and improve cultural and linguistic knowledge.
Total Participants: 10
